Newly appointed Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 3 Director Jonathan Dirain and company paid a courtesy call to members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) ng Bataan headed by Vice Governor Cris Garcia at the SP session hall on Monday, September 12 where the visitors were warmly welcomed.

“There will be continuity of DSWD programs in the region and how we can improve them”, Dirain said as he was invited at the podium by the vice governor to deliver his message. “Today is actually the very first day of my appointment and I am glad I am able to visit you”, he added.

Garcia for her part said, ” DSWD has always been a partner of the Provincial Government of Bataan in providing assistance and services to our constituents”. She said she is glad to meet the new DSWD Regional Director.

Earlier in the day, Dirain and company paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Joet Garcia. Dirain said prior to his appointment, he was assigned at Malacanang for two years. He added he has been in the government for 16 years now.
